How we work

We breed according to the rules of Mundikat which means that we only breed with approved Maine Coons with pedigree and that kittens may only leave the nest after 14 weeks. We work with a purchase agreement that can be viewed in advance. Kittens are sold with a breeding ban*.

If you are interested in a kitten from us, you are more than welcome to come and take a look at our home without any obligation. We are currently working on making a cattery stay for our Maine Coons, who of course also just walk around the house.

If we have or expect kittens it is possible to reserve a kitten. For this we ask for a deposit of € 200,-*.

Once payment has been received, the reservation is final.

A Maine Coon is a companion animal that prefers to live with another cat. This may of course also be a cat of another breed.

* Breeders may also respond to a litter of kittens, but of course different prices apply to them than to enthusiasts.

From Maine Coon

The Maine Coon (MCO) has a particularly dense, water-resistant coat and can weigh up to 10 kg. This makes the Maine Coon currently the largest cat breed. They have a medium-wide head with a somewhat square-lined muzzle and large upright ears that are provided with tufts. Their body is long and they also have fairly long legs. Maine Coons come in all kinds of coat colours and can also have different eye colours. They also have tufts between their legs.

The Maine Coon is a balanced, independent and stable cat. Calm, friendly, tolerant, social and attached to their owner(s). In that sense, they come closest to a dog in terms of behavior. They are active and playful indoors and good hunters outdoors.
